Hải Châu Village is the site dedicated to worshiping the Nam Hải God and the Jade Lady (Bà Chúa Ngọc) of Hải Châu Village, located in Ngũ Phụng Commune, Phú Quý Island District, Bình Thuận Province.
In the year 1845, the people of the old Hải Châu Village built a shrine to worship the Nam Hải God, and in 1849, they erected a temple to honor the Jade Lady (Thiên-Y-A-Na). Over the years, enduring the harsh weather conditions of Phú Quý, both the shrine and the temple gradually deteriorated. Descendants have renovated them several times to preserve them as they are today.
Each year, Hải Châu Village holds two traditional ceremonies, similar to other villages: the spring ceremony in the first lunar month and the autumn ceremony in the eighth lunar month. Additionally, if there is any major event in the village, special rituals will be organized to report to the deities and pray for their blessings upon the villagers.
