Bustling Morning Seafood Market at Phu Quy Port

Every morning from around 4:30 AM to 7:00 AM, Phu Quy Port becomes a lively hub of activity. Seafood traders, local vendors, island residents, and tourists all gather here to buy and sell freshly caught seafood.

In addition to shrimp, fish, and squid brought in by fishing boats that left the afternoon before, the market also features a wide variety of shellfish, fish, and lobsters caught by divers in the waters surrounding the nearby islets—creating an incredibly diverse and vibrant seafood scene.

Even before sunrise, Phu Quy Port is already teeming with life. Fishermen and visitors alike flock to the port in what feels like a festive gathering. Right at the edge of the fish landing dock, trading begins the moment the boats arrive. Freshly caught seafood—clams, snails, crabs, various kinds of fish, shrimp, and squid—is brought ashore in abundance, impressively fresh and inviting. The hustle and bustle of the fishermen, the curiosity of tourists, and the steady flow of boats docking at the pier together paint a vivid picture of a vibrant early-morning market by the sea.
