Lien Hoa Pagoda in Phu Quy was founded by Venerable Thich Tuong Van between 1944 and 1965, during his long-term role as the Abbot and Yiet Ma Axale at Linh Son Pagoda. In 1995, the pagoda was renovated and rebuilt for the first time by Venerable Thich Thien Phuoc together with male and female devotees, with the construction completed in 1998.

After nearly 90 years and multiple renovations, Lien Hoa Pagoda has attracted many visitors and pilgrims from far and wide when they come to Phu Quy Island district.
