Vạn Quý Thạnh, also known as the Quý Thạnh Village Shrine (Quý Thạnh Village Communal House), is located in Quý Thạnh Hamlet, Ngũ Phụng Commune, Phú Quý Island District, Bình Thuận Province.
Vạn belongs to Quý Thạnh Village in Ngũ Phụng Commune and was built around the late 18th century. Vạn Quý Thạnh is one of the ancestral shrines established since the early years of Quý Thạnh Village’s founding, dating back to the Cảnh Hưng era in 1767. The shrine was first restored in 1935, then again in 1952, and underwent a major renovation in 1998.
The shrine still preserves five royal decrees granted to the Nam Hải deity during the reigns of emperors Tự Đức, Đồng Khánh, Duy Tân, and Khải Định (including a handwritten copy of the decree from Tự Đức’s time). There are three main annual ceremonies held at the shrine: the spring festival, the autumn festival, and the memorial ceremony on the 25th and 26th days of the eighth lunar month.
