The Lang Co Breakwater is located along the coastline of My Khe Hamlet, Tam Thanh Commune, Phu Quy Island District, Binh Thuan Province. It was originally constructed to protect the island from sea waves.
On Phu Quy Island, not only the Lang Co Breakwater but nearly all breakwaters have become trendy check-in spots for young travelers. However, what makes the Lang Co Breakwater truly stand out is its wave-blocking concrete pillars, which are painted in vibrant, eye-catching colors.
Recently, if you visit Phu Quy, you’ll find a new and picturesque spot to take photos and enjoy the view—none other than the Phu Quy Breakwater. This place is increasingly attracting tourists and local youth who come here to relax. Previously, the breakwaters were just plain concrete, but now they’ve been transformed with bright, unique, and artistic colors, making the scenery softer and more engaging.
This colorful breakwater was a collaborative creation by the Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union, volunteers from the Binh Duong Green Summer Campaign, local youth union members, and soldiers of Phu Quy. It’s a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. When visiting this tourist spot, not only can visitors take vibrant and unique photos and enjoy the sea breeze and views of fishing boats, but they can also immerse themselves in the island’s stunning sunrises and sunsets.
